The water line coming into your home or business is extremely important in your daily life. If your home or business happens to spring a leak, it could cause a lot of damage to your property. To have the water shut off any longer than absolutely necessary could pose serious health violations for your business. Most leaks start off small and can happen due to metal pipe deterioration. Roots too close can also create breaks in your water lines. Care should always be taken when planting tress and shrubs. Not to plant them closely to the water and drain lines of your home or business. Backflow Prevention/Irrigation Systems

Although we do not install irrigation systems, we do install backflow preventers to your homes irrigation system if needed. Backflow preventers do exactly what the name says, it keeps water from coming up from the ground or from other undesired sources when there is a flow direction change in the maintained water pressure. If this was to happen it could cause contamination in the potable water source.  This can happen when there is a water main break or a frozen pipe. We also install Hot Boxes for backflow preventers, to protect them during inclimate weather. To better protect your homes irrigation system we also offer winterization services.

Frozen Pipes

During the inclimate weather it is not uncommon for water lines to freeze. If this happens the frozen water inside the pipes can expand and cause the pipe to actually burst. When it thaws then you will notice the leak. If you turn on the faucet and the water doesn’t flow properly, then there is a chance your pipes have froze. Give us a call and we can get your water flowing again.

Tips from our Technicians

  • If you have exposed pipes in the garage, basement, or crawlspace using a space heater to help warm the area can keep the pipes from freezing.
  • Leaving the faucets running slowly, especially at night will keep them from freezing. This really works!
  • Insulating exposed pipes.
  • Always disconnect garden hoses from outside faucets.(hose bibbs, spigot)
